Bronco Battlebot
Bronco is the number two seed in the brutal robot war competition showing this summer on ABC. It’s success has been its powerful piston kick using the floor as its ultimate counter lever, launching opponents 15 feet in the air resulting in their destruction on impact.
It has been an absolute pleasure working with this team of devoted volunteers. The last three years has been full of countless late nights debating armor configurations, battle strategies, material choices and the endless complexities involved in deflecting and delivering extremely destructive forces.

Seteco F6 X-Ray Scanner
The Italian producer of security systems approached us with the desire of an affordable system for use in international embassies, universities and government institutions. The privilege of traveling to Rome, working with their charismatic team, while learning Italian, made this project an absolute pleasure. We satisfied their aesthetic with simple, carefully proportioned geometry, subtle curves embracing the volume, careful use of stainless steel complimenting tinted polycarbonate arm guards and an LED lens banding the entire parameter. Engineering raised their dilemma of time consuming detector alignment with the x-ray tube. We responded by developing a system to reduce the flexibility of the gantry frame and limit the degrees of freedom, significantly reducing recurring FSE costs.
Argus CT Scanner
If the CTX 9000 is a Cadillac then the “Argus” is a Porsche. We stripped down everything but the essential technology to provide the same quality CT imaging for smaller airports and lobby concourse installations. The rolled steel tube triples as the tunnel, shear support, radiation shielding, and exterior, limiting the enclosures to the center scanner section only. This minimal approach resulted in the most affordable, and lightest CT scanner on the market. Complete with casters and sold with it’s own motorized push cart, the system can be maneuvered into the smallest of environments by one person, eliminating the need for forklifts. Using ancient armour as a metaphor for security we sculpted shields into the vacuum formed gull wing doors, strategically placed LED bulbs and chrome key locks to emulate armours riveted details, and borrowed the ventilation grill pattern from gladiator masks to complete the statement.
Downhill Skateboard
This skateboard was designed with input from hundreds of Comet Skateboard’s fans from the very esoteric downhill skateboarding community. The overwhelming request was for “double concave” and “excessive rocker”. It took several prototypes and molds before we achieved the perfect recipe of subtle contours to satisfy a variety of foot sizes and of course, high speed, downhill riding styles. The result has been overwhelming amongst the community of daredevils.
